In order to grow and heal,”We must forego the protection afforded by judgment.”
What does this mean? This means that whenever we judge another we are hiding from ourselves the things within us that we don’t want to see. We cannot judge another without declaring that the same is true about ourselves. It is not possible for me to even recognize something outside of myself, if it does not resonate with or stir up something that is already inside of me. I cannot be upset about something I see, unless I am already judging myself negatively for having said, thought, or done the same thing at some point in time.
So, when I judge someone or something else as being wrong, I am hiding from myself the things I am unhappy with in myself, by focusing my attention outside of myself. This “protects” me from the discomfort of dealing with those aspects of myself which are uncomfortable for me.
That is why I say that in order to grow and heal, I need to “Forego the protection afforded by judgment.
We come from Love, we are made of Love, we are Love. Everything else is false.
