Dear Friends,

I have received several questions about the last post announcing the new group I will be starting in Crystal Lake, IL at my newly expanded office, and I want to clarify a few things.

To begin with, I will still be running the group in Woodstock, IL on Tuesday nights from 6:30 – 9:00 pm.  The group there is hosted by the Unity Spiritual Center of Woodstock and is located at 225 W. Calhoun, just a block or two from the Woodstock Square.  The Unity Spiritual Center has been kind enough to host us for four or more years now, and they suggest a $5 Love offering for those who can afford it, but no one is turned away for lack of funds.  Thank you to Rev. Tom and all those who keep the Unity Spiritual Center of Woodstock running smoothly for providing us with a lovely and welcoming space for that Mindshifters Group!

The new group will be meeting on Thursday nights at my office in Crystal Lake – 800 McHenry Ave. Suite B, Crystal Lake, IL 60014.  This group will also begin promptly at 6:30 and run until 9:00 pm.  I will need to charge $25 per person per session, in order to help with the overhead of my office.

I have decided that the opening group, maybe the first two, will be watching the video of a lecture on the Mayan Calendar titled, “The Condor Flies To The Eagle”.  It is a three hour lecture, but we will watch an hour of it during the first group on October 30th, 2014.  This is a wonderful lecture on the way we have been systematically “conditioned” to focus solely on the physical aspects of our lives, by our culture and by the adoption of a calendar that tracks nothing other than the physical movement of our planet around our sun.  The message of this lecture is hopeful and upbeat, and it provides some excellent “food for thought” for anyone working to expand their horizons.
